One small thing can take a great moment and turn it serious.
Back in 2019, I left my boot gaiters behind. Didn’t think much of it; until the adrenaline wore off. My boots were soaked, my feet were cold and raw.
Most of us don’t get many days in the field. Between work, family, and life, it’s hard enough just to get out there. So when a missing piece of gear turns into a safety issue, it stings.
