September Hunting Season is Here. RuckList is Ready.

It's September…Big Things Are Ahead!

For most big game hunters, September is the beginning of their season.  There’s been months of preparation and daydreaming of bugling bulls and cagey old bucks, but now it’s time to make it happen.  Anticipation is high, and we’ve already dreamt of the success that lies ahead.  Here at RuckList, the stoke is at an all-time high.  Almost every member of the team has a hunt on the agenda for September.  The ones that don’t have a hunt have a fishing trip or an ultra-marathon.  To say September is going to be epic would be a huge understatement.  Even with all the hype and excitement around our outdoor adventures, nothing compares to what RuckList has in store.  Literally, in the App Store, as you read this…the RuckList mobile app is live!

Through hours of meetings and ideas, years of development and refining, we are here!  RuckList is designed to make sure you always have the gear you need.  The peace of mind that comes with knowing you have everything necessary for your adventure can’t be overstated.  When you pack for that once in a lifetime Dall sheep hunt, you should be confident that every piece of gear made it to your bag.  You’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars; it sure would suck to leave your rain gear sitting in your hunting tote. RuckList remembers…

Allow me to break this down for you:

  • Step One: Walk out to your garage or whatever room contains your gear. Take a quick inventory in your head and realize that it’s almost impossible not to forget something without a quality system.
  • Step Two: Open that iPhone and find the App Store.  Search “RuckList” and click “Get.”
  • Step Three: Create a login and put your profile information in.
  • Step Four: Add gear to your garage.  This can be done in a couple of ways.  First, you can “explore” gear, which allows you to search for gear that you own and “add it to garage.”  Second, you can manually add gear.
  • Step Five: Start building packing lists.  If you have gear in your garage, you can easily click on it and select “add to packlist.”  Your lists will be saved, and you can reuse them anytime going forward.  You can also “explore” packlists and import lists that others have created for their adventures.
  • Step Six: Build a trip and add packing lists to it.  As you begin to pack items for your adventure, you can check them off in the app.  It will tell you what percentage of your list is packed and which items remain.
  • If you take your time and build quality lists, you’ll enter the field with confidence.  Let’s dump that sick feeling you get when you’re 70 miles down the road and know you have forgotten something, but you haven’t figured out what it is yet.  Pack with confidence.
